About

I’ve been an artist all my life. It started with my delightfully messy finger paintings on my picnic table as a child in southern Arizona, into high school as an art editor for the school annual and recipient of multiple awards and art scholarships. It all fueled a lifelong, burning interest and passion for creating art.

After graduating from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a major in Art Education, I moved to Colorado to teach what I loved. Even while teaching, I always devoted time to working on my own artwork.

Eventually, I decided to go in a different direction and found work in the space planning and construction management field, where I thoroughly enjoyed using my creativity to enhance the working spaces and environment of the corporate world. During that time, I rediscovered my love for painting and was at my easel every chance I got. I felt happy and fulfilled.

After moving to the mountains over ten years ago, I now paint fulltime in my studio in Silverthorne, Colorado, where I can look out the windows at the beautiful scenery of the Rocky Mountains. I am also back teaching art at Colorado Mountain College and love the inspiration and motivation that my students give me.

I have studied with the well known artists Kim English, Michelle Torrez, Jill Soukup and Homare Ikeda and I continue to seek out different perspectives of the world through my travel and study. I have shown in different galleries all around the country including Santa Fe, Taos, Florida and Colorado and have paintings in several permanent corporate collections.
